Application Requirements
To be considered as a candidate for the IVAAP summer program, please submit two recent recordings (made within the last 24 months) and a current résumé. The recordings may be of any genre (operatic aria, song, or oratorio) and from any period. Please include at least one selection that you think shows off the full capacity of your voice. Applications must be submitted by June 10th, 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Application Fee
All applicants must pay a €20 application fee.
What We're Looking For
IVAAP is an international program with a focus on strong work ethic and pursuit of vocal growth. We are looking for singers who are driven, and who are serious about their work. Payerbach is a place for those with open minds to discover and explore the full potential of their voices, regardless of where they are in their vocal journey.
While we encourage you to enjoy yourselves in Payerbach, please note that excessive drinking or partying will not be tolerated, as it is disrespectful to the faculty and a detriment to other participants of the program.
COVID-19 Restrictions
To be a participant of IVAAP, we require that you either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of the program, or that you quarantine and self-test for three days upon arrival and after any excursions outside of the town of Payerbach-Reichenau. In addition, we ask that you please stay up to date on Austria's latest COVID-19 guidelines.
Exceptional Circumstances
In very specific and exceptional circumstances, if a student shows great capability, promise, and potential, that student may be invited to complete an apprenticeship with the IVAAP faculty outside of the IVAAP summer program. This option is available only to students of outstanding achievement who are unable to attend the IVAAP program during the summer months.
